Most of us have tried, in one way or another, to change. We have read the books, developed the awareness, perhaps even sat with other practitioners. And yet something persists. A way of reacting we cannot seem to outgrow, an inner conflict that reason alone cannot resolve, or a tiredness that goes deeper than rest can reach.
This is not a failure of effort or intelligence. It is what happens when we try to address, from the outside, something that lives much further in.
If you pay attention, really pay attention, you might notice that the inhale seems to love the exhale. That the body is doing something extraordinary, quietly, without being asked. We have somehow found ourselves in these bodies that feel and move. If we are lucky enough to have hands, we can trace the face of someone we love, touch the bark of a tree. If we are lucky enough to have eyes, we can watch a sunrise, look into the eyes of another human being.
Most of the time, we are not fully here for any of it. Most of the time we are so caught up in the stories in our heads, our reactive patterns, and stuck nervous system responses.
The work begins with turning presence inward, towards what is actually here, right now, within you.
